Educational Resource Packs are production-related resources which accompany some Theatre Royal shows, these are available to download from the Education Packs page. These guides are designed to supplement further exploration in the classroom, or for independent study.
Providing an insight into the theatre-making process with photographs, diaries and development material from the rehearsal room; resources also include interviews with the key creative team exploring the role of the writer, director and designers.
They contain full information on plot and characters, as well as comprehensive context and a range of appropriate creative exercises and suggested practical activities for continued learning and further study in the classroom.
These education packs are designed to complement your school’s theatre visit. They offer classroom activities that are inspired by our productions and feed into the modern curriculum. Each sheet is designed to be easily photocopied for distribution in your class. On occasions you can also book workshops at your school based on the production of your choice.
In addition to workshops and subsidised tickets, many of our performances which are suitable for schools offer a post show question and answer session or backstage tour, introducing you to the theatre company and their production teams, props and cast.
Educational Resource Packs are included as part of the Subsidised Tickets for Schools Scheme.

“The children and staff really enjoyed it. Especially handling the props and seeing the curtain go up/down”. St. Gregory’s Roman Catholic Primary School
