Tabby McTat

From the book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler

“Me, you and the old guitar, how perfectly, perfectly happy we are. MEEE-EW and the old guitar – How PURRRR-fectly happy we are!”

Tabby McTat is a cat with the loudest of meee-ews and a best friend with a guitar.  Together they sing their favourite songs delighting the crowds, until one day Fred disappears.  Separated and alone, Tabby finds shelter and a new life with all the home comforts that any cat could dream of.  However, memories of his life with Fred haunt him, and he sets off to search the streets for his long-lost friend.

Interwoven with original songs, Tabby McTat is the heart-warming tale of friendship and loyalty from the team behind Stick Man Live and Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales.

Suitable for children and families of all ages.

This show is supported by the local charity, Cats in Crisis.

Cats in Crisis is an entirely voluntary organisation that rescues abandoned and neglected cats in the Thanet area. As well as rehoming cats that come into their care, they have permanent residents who cannot be homed due to medical or behavioural problems, these cats stay with them for the rest of their days. Cats in Crisis do not have a rescue centre so all the cats live in foster homes. The charity is small, so rely entirely on public donations, and with food and litter bills as well as vet bills that run into well over a thousand pounds a month they are always grateful for fundraising opportunities. Cats in Crisis is delighted to have been invited to do a bucket collection after the show and look forward to seeing how Tabby’s story ends. Hopefully, like most of their cats, it will be a happy ending.
