Box Clever Presents

Frankenstein

A brand new adaptation for schools of Mary Shelley’s classic gothic novel
Directed by Iqbal Khan

Theatre Royal Margate is proud to be Box Clever’s Kent partner on “The Frankenstein Project”.

Thanks to Arts Council funding, Box Clever have been working with Ten Secondary School groups in three areas of the country: Wigan/ St. Helens, Lincolnshire and the Kent coast, to bring Mary Shelley’s original and terrifying nightmare vision to theatrical life.

Following writing workshops, a Gathering, and an enthusiastically received first Kent reading at the Theatre Royal in March, we are proud to present the premiere of this brand-new production prior to its autumn tour.

A beautiful, atmospheric reading of a classic tale.

Box Clever brought the page to life, taking the audience on a journey through the eyes of the writer as she explored her characters and their relationships. The teenage audience were literally spellbound.
