A Paines Plough, Theatr Clwyd and Orange Tree Theatre production

‘Direct from a sold out run in Edinburgh’

A thriller with a twist.

Rebecca and Paul are running away. Away from memories and mistakes.

They’re trying to save their relationship. They need time and space. An isolated house in the country is the perfect place to work things out. They set themselves rules: they have to be honest, they have to listen and they have to be fair.

But you can’t run forever. Especially when you’re being followed.

Black Mountain is a tense psychological thriller about betrayal and forgiveness by the winner of the Harold Pinter Commission, Brad Birch.

Simply put, what is it about?

A warring couple escapes to the country to save their relationship, they encounter something much more sinister.

About Theatre Club:

Margate Theatre Club meets about once a month for a lively, informal and friendly discussion.
We pick shows at the Theatre Royal and the Tom Thumb Theatre that are exciting, interesting and thought-provoking and meet afterwards to swap opinions and thoughts. Our conversations often go further than just the show!

Come if you hated it, come if you loved it, come if you know what it meant, come if it made no sense at all, come with hundreds of opinions, come if you have no idea what to think. Whatever you think about theatre we'd love to meet you.

Margate Theatre Club is a chance to meet other theatre goers and share in great conversation, as well as learn about other exciting theatrical and cultural events in the area.

We love the Roundabout Festival and are really excited to be running Theatre Club after Out of Love on Thursday and Black Mountain on Friday.

We’ll go to the Black Cat across the road after the show to talk about it with whoever wants to come!

We are also looking for someone to be another co-host and who might be interested in promoting us on Facebook. Please get in touch if you are interested.
