Susie Parsley is delighted to be returning to her home town of Margate, where she grew up, to perform in the up-coming Big Band UK concert tour of More Miller Magic at The Theatre Royal on June 18th.
Susie has been singing with the Astor Big Band for just over two years. The show boasts an 18-piece band and presents a host of Glenn Miller’s No.1 hits as well as incorporating other Big Band hits from Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and The Andrews Sisters. The show is in support of The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
Since starting off locally as a member of Mildred Campbell’s Rainbow Troupe in her younger years and then going on to be a member of The Margate Operatic Society in her teens, Susie’s professional work has taken her all over the world as Lead Vocalist on several cruise liners, more recently on national theatre tours, one of which had a stint in The West End and she also regularly sings in her own band ‘The Score Function Band’ playing at many prestigious events in and around London including Wembley Stadium for many of their sporting events and top London hotels.
In her time off Susie enjoys spending her spare time at home in Bromley where she now lives with her husband Stuart. She also runs her own entertainment business score-entertainment.co.uk which supplies entertainment all over the UK to corporate events and private parties.
