Hip Hop down to Theatre Royal Margate

Do you want to be part of a Hip Hop Event performing along-side the best of the best UK talent!
On the 9 July b.supreme brings to the Theatre Royal Margate 30 of the best female Hip Hop Dancers in Europe. Including those from some of the most successful crews :-Sky One’s Got to Dance – Boadicea and Buckness Personified- BirdGang- Myself -Clara De Paris and ‘Rowdy’
Some of Europe’s finest B-girls (female break dancers) will also be performing in a live B-girl battle, representing the rawness and spontaneity of hip hop dance with live music from DJ Jam Fu.

Audition to perform with the b.supreme Company
We will be auditioning for Hip Hop and Street Dancers, Soloists-Duets or Trios to join us on stage on the 9th July
If you are a Hip Hop Dancer, Male or Female aged 10yrs – 25 yrs and you would like to perform with the b.supreme crew, we will be holding an open audition at The Theatre Royal from 6pm-8pm on the 7th July and all successful applicants will join the company for the finale Free-styling to ace DJ Jam Fu.

Frantic Assembly is amongst the country’s most celebrated, accomplished and exciting theatre companies. The company has created innovative, high quality touring productions for 19 years and its acclaimed work has consistently attracted new and young audiences. Frantic Assembly makes its unique process accessible to the next generation of artists through its Train activities and contributes considerably to young people’s experience of the arts via its extensive Learn activities. Jointly these programmes benefit over 6,000 participants a year. Frantic Assembly are a recommended theatre company on Edexcel, WJEC and AQA Syllabuses.
This highly energetic and creative workshop will introduce Frantic Assembly’s unique approach to creating physical material.

Schools Workshops with Paines Plough – September 2014
For one week only, a pop-up arts festival is coming to Margate. The Roundabout Festival is five days of non-stop events that all take place in a state-of-the-art pop-up Amphitheatre seating 165 people, completely in the round. Roundabout is the most dynamic, most innovative, most essential new theatre in the country and is brought to us by legendary touring theatre company Paines Plough, straight from the Edinburgh Festival 2014.
The Amphitheatre will be in the Margate Winter Gardens from the 3rd to the 7th September and alongside the programme of comedy, music, poetry and theatre, the company will also be running workshops for all local schools. More details about the performances and the workshops to come soon.
